This Indian Hand Painted Pottery comes from the high plateau country of the Western United States. The Native American artist who sign each piece combine their natural artistic talents with the inspiration of their culture and heritage. The earth and skies of their homelands are rich in every color of the rainbow and inspire many of the moods found in the pottery. Natural clays are specially blended together to create a high quality white pottery which serves as an excellent vehicle for the artist's expressions. In addition to its aesthetic and decorative appeal, approved paints and glazes and high firing temperatures make the pottery useful. Internally glazed pieces will hold water, however not all pieces are internally glazed. Exterior surfaces are finished with a special sealer that brings out the natural colors. This pottery can be dusted and then cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use hot water or strong abrasive cleaners. Do no use in dish washers.
